 The primary objective of this course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the historical, cultural, economic, and health aspects of herbs and spices. By the end of the course, students should be able to distinguish various herbs and spices, recognize their cultural significance, and comprehend their economic importance in the global market. Additionally, they should gain insights into the potential health benefits and applications of herbs and spices, ranging from influenza prevention to the treatment of chronic diseases such as cancer.

臺灣的文化資產保存事業可溯及於日本殖民統治臺灣時期，制定法令指定保護起始。臺灣擁有數十萬年的人類活動居住紀錄和遺跡、南島民族、多元族群文化及豐富多樣的自然生態資源與人文特色，甚至擁有珍貴的世界級地質景觀、非物質文化和世界記憶。本課程提供認識臺灣文化資產的內涵、法令、保存環境，及接軌國際憲章的努力。同時提供田野考察、評估實作，進一步瞭解文化資產保存的重要性與當代臺灣文化資產保存議題的省思。

This course is designed to introduce students to the diverse topics and key issues within the scientific field of psychology. Throughout the course, students will develop a fundamental understanding of influential theories and significant research related to essential aspects of psychology. By exploring the knowledge accumulated by psychologists, students will gain insights that can enhance their academic pursuits, interpersonal relationships, overall well-being, and other crucial areas of their lives.

本課程之授課內容除了傳授基本海洋科學的相關知識外，也針對台灣所處的海洋環境，從海權、資源、生態環境、氣候變遷及環境保護等角度做深入剖析，增進學生對台灣周遭海洋環境的認識和瞭解，並培養及提昇學生對全球環境變遷、天然災害的發生及防治和環境保護等相關議題的認知及論述能力。

本課程將幫助學生了解電波及其在日常生活中常見的應用，例如：微波爐能夠加熱那些食物呢?汽車測速照相的原理?手機如何進行無線通訊?廣播能傳多遠的距離?GPS定位是怎麼做到的?悠遊卡裡面有什麼呢?ETC是什麼?電視訊號從哪裡來?如何跟衛星或太空站溝通?如何觀測宇宙中的電波?電磁波安全嗎?
